INTERNATIONAL recruitment company Cpl, which employs 700 people in recruitment, 2,000 in managed services and 10,000 on client sites across its global business, has opened new Belfast offices to accommodate its growing local team, having recruited 10 new consultants in Northern Ireland.

The group, which last year announced that it would be creating 200 jobs across its 36 branches, is the only indigenous recruitment company listed on both the London and Dublin stock exchange.

According to its chief executive Áine Brolly, a former Invest NI senior vice president in San Francisco, the business has generated strong growth in the local market over the last 12 months and the creation of 10 new jobs as well as a new international executive search company, Ardlinn, are a benchmark of Cpl’s success in Northern Ireland and globally.

She says the business has targeted expansion in the local market through its strategy of rapid growth including the potential for the acquisition of locally based recruitment companies.

Áine said: “This is a significant day for Cpl as it not only reflects our ambition, growth and commitment to the local marketplace but it is also an indication of the considerable opportunities that we believe exists within the Northern Ireland economy.

“We have restructured and reshaped the local business to support our growth and we have a great blend of local talent within our team, people who have expertise and deep insights into the local skills sectors. We have developed strategies around how we can support and augment the potential that exists within the local economy.

“We are also launching a new business to support the growing demand from our clients for leading executives and with our increasing market share particularly within technology, professional services, legal, technical engineering and financial sectors the new office is testament to our commitment to invest and build on our success in Northern Ireland.”

Also speaking at the event at Royal Buildings in Belfast's Arthur Street was Anne Hearty, co-founder and chief executive of the Cpl Resources Plc Group, who added: “Cpl is an ambitious, progressive and growing company, and in Northern Ireland Áine and the team have worked hard to oversee our recruitment, talent and outsourcing needs as well as our brand development."
