TYRONE-based baby food firm Heavenly Tasty Organics has secured major listings with British supermarkets in multi-million pound deals.

The Augher company will supply products to Tesco, Morrisons and Waitrose, making the business £2 million a year.

Heavenly Tasty will supply a range of snacks to more than 1,100 stores across Britain from this month.

The firm already supplies leading supermarkets across Ireland but this is its first contract of this magnitude across the water.

The company offers organic snacks which contain no added sugar and are low in natural sugars.

They have seen a huge demand for their products which contain high proportions of popular superfoods such as coconut milk, spinach, kale and pumpkin.

Products in the latest deal include Yummy Wafer Wisps, Coconut Squishies and Crispy Veggie Waffles.

Company founder - and mum of four - Shauna McCarney-Blair said: “We have been working hard on new product development over the last 12 months to bring products to the market which parents want for their babies and toddlers and which are offering an alternative to salty sugary snacks that are so widely available.

"Recently we have launched our new Crispy Veggie Waffles and Mini Italian Breadsticks which have really caught the eye of the buyers and have given another dimension to our business, targeting the slightly older age group of 12 months."

She said staff at the company were "absolutely overwhelmed and delighted with the new deals with Tesco, Morrisons and Waitrose and are so grateful that these leading UK retailers can see our vision to provide healthy organics snacks and are so supportive of our products".

"These deals clearly demonstrate the want in the UK market for our healthy baby and toddler snacking products and the demand from parents for these products to be more readily available," she added.

"Taking Heavenly from an idea at my kitchen table to now being stocked on the shelves of three of the UK’s leading supermarket chains is simply a dream come true and makes all the hard work worthwhile.

"Our focus on superfood ingredients, and ensuring the quality and standard of our products, really has been what has got us to where we are today and we can’t wait to see where the next 12 months will take us.”

Over the past nine months Heavenly has grown to have products sold in 14 countries around the world including Australia, the Middle East and throughout Europe.
