THE Co Down heating and renewable energy installation firm created by one of the north's fast-emerging young entrepreneurs is celebrating the most successful period in its short history, in which is has doubled staff numbers to 70.

CTS Projects in Warrenpoint, founded in August 2006 by Connaire McGreevy, has generated the jobs after winning £14 million in new contracts with four housing associations, coinciding with the company making a strategic diversification into private sector boiler servicing.

And the stellar-growth firm has also invested £80,000 to introduce an innovative software system which offers real-time updates on boiler repairs (it's the only one in its sector in the north offering this service), while it has spent an additional £150,000 on an office expansion and upgrade.

The new contracts with Alpha Housing, Fold Housing, Habinteg Housing and Triangle Housing, and existing deals with several other associations, mean CTS Projects now covers 40 per cent of Northern Ireland’s social housing heating maintenance and upgrades.

“Our growth strategy is to add value for our clients where others are not offering it," says McGreevey, who in the last year has amassed a clutch of industry awards (and who is on the short-list for the Business Person of the Year accolade at the Viscount Awards in London next month).

He added: “I'm passionate about the business, and it’s vital my team is comprised of the most dynamic and motivated individuals who can make a contribution to our future growth and success.”

As well as CTP Projects, Connaire has taken his entrepreneurial flair, management experience and passion into other sectors, notably the Mourne Mountains Brewery which he started in 2014 and which is growing apace.
