Record label to focus on vinyl

A NEW record label has launched in Belfast following an investment of £40,000. Quiet Arch will focus on creating vinyl recordings reflecting a surge in demand for the medium over recent years.

Those behind the venture say they will "explore the area just left of mainstream, where live musicianship, art and technology meet. Quiet Arch will pride themselves on releasing artist material on beautifully designed vinyl and digital platforms".

Among artists to have signed for the new label are Ryan Vail, Tucan and SlowPlaceLikeHome plus a collaborative project between Ryan Vail and Lurgan-based folk singer Ciaran Lavery.
