NEW flights to Las Vegas and Cuba from Belfast International Airport have been announced. Thomas Cook Airlines will offer a one-off flight to Las Vegas next summer, as well as two to Orlando while the Las Vegas flight will be next November. The flight to Varadero in Cuba will operate in January 2016. The airline is also launching a new route to the Canary Island of Fuerteventura from November 2015.

Its CEO Christoph Debus said: "Our brand new long haul economy cabins and service will challenge perceptions of our airline, and our new premium will ensure our customers can experience a great range of services, flying in style to their winter break."

Airport managing director Graham Keddie said, "This expansion of services will add to the choice available for Northern Ireland holiday-makers.

Cuba is vibrant, full of life and a must-visit destination in the Caribbean. "It will generate considerable interest and I have no doubt it will be a roaring success. The same will also be true of the new route to the Canary Island of Fuerteventura."
