Passenger hike for Aer Lingus

DUBLIN-based Aer Lingus carried 6.2pc more passengers on all of its services in July than in the same month a year ago,it said yesterday. The airline, which operates services from Belfast City Airport including to Heathrow and Gatwick, revealed that it took 1.212 million travellers last month. Aer Lingus said its long haul passenger numbers increased by 22.4 per cent from 116,000 to 142,000, while short haul passenger numbers were up 2.1 per cent to 928,000.
