City set for awards bash

DERRY'S annual business awards ceremony takes place tonight in the City Hotel, co-hosted by the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce and the City Centre Initiative, with sponsorship from the Bank of Ireland. Sinead McLaughlin, chief executive of Londonderry Chamber of Commerce, said: "The awards have again attracted excellent entries and the event has proved its popularity by being sold out. It is one of the 'must-attend' evenings of the year for Derry's business community. We have fantastic local businesses and those that win awards will deserve their accolades." Jim Roddy, chief executive of the City Centre Initiative, added: "We are very proud to be co-hosting this prestigious event."
