Queen's award for IT company

THE north's largest IT firm Allstate has been formally presented with the Queen's Award for enterprise, the UK's highest honour for business success, at a ceremony in Belfast yesterday in front of more than 150 company employees. Dame Mary Peters, lord-lieutenant of Belfast, presented the award to Allstate's executive vice-president Suren Gupta who directs global technology and operations and flew into Belfast from Chicago for the special occasion. Mr Gupta said: "We operate in a global arena, so winning an award of this stature further endorses the quality of work and the talent that is on offer in Northern Ireland."
