Randox secures major us deal

CRUMLIN-based healthcare diagnostics company randox has further expanded its presence in the us after securing a major supplier agreement with novation, the largest hospital and healthcare purchasing organisation in america. And it means randox third party quality control products - widely considered to be the most accurate in the world - will now be readily available to novation members across the us. Novation manages purchasing contracts for more than 600 suppliers, which in turn look after the supply chain for more than 100,000 healthcare facilities. In 2012 their combined purchasing power amounted to almost $43 billion, a market in which randox aims to take a firm foothold as a leading supplier of clinical diagnostic quality control products. As part of the deal, randox will be the only supplier of quality control products available through novaplus, an exclusive package for novation members which delivers the best financial value on the products healthcare facilities use most. Steven Jordan, global business manager at randox, said: "This deal is a strategically important step in our expansion in the us.

"We are delighted our world-leading quality control products will now be available for use in many more laboratories throughout the states, and i am confident the quality and range of products available from randox will make us stand out in the novation supplier portfolio."
