* Ground control: Young astronaut Oliver McKee eagerly awaits the touchdown of Colonel Chris Hadfield, the Canadian astronaut who will be appearing at the BT Young Scientist and Technology exhibition in Dublin (www.btyoungscientist.com) on Saturday January 11. The astronaut - made famous by his interstellar rendition of David Bowie's Space Oddity - will sign copies of his new book An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth for the thousands of visitors who will make their way to the 50th exhibition. Thirty-one projects from 17 schools in Northern Ireland are competing at the exhibition, which is open to the public between January 9 and 11
