Entrepreneurs vie for award

SIX people from Northern Ireland will be vying for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year title at an awards ceremony in Dublin tonight. Shortlisted for the awards at the Citywest Hotel are Mark Godfrey and Simon Cole of Automated Intelligence, Colin Williams of Sixteen South, Peter Dixon of Phoenix Gas Group, Eleanor McEvoy of Budget Energy, Martin Hamilton of Mash Direct and Seamus McKeague of Creagh Concrete. They form part of a group of 24 finalists in the 16th staging of the awards. Frank O'Keeffe, partner-in-charge of the awards, said: "We look forward to celebrating their individual success stories and applauding the contribution they have made to the island of Ireland in terms of innovation and job creation." The ceremony will be televised live on RTE1 at 10.50pm. The overall winner will represent Ireland at the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards in Monte Carlo next June.
