Hof boss takes Victoria square helm

BelfAsT shopping centre Victoria square has appointed anchor tenant House of fraser (Hof) boss Michelle Jackson as new centre manager in succession to Hugh Black, who left earlier this year. she will move in at the end of september to head up the centre management team and take responsibility for the overall strategic growth and direction of the business in conjunction with BTWshiells.

Michelle started her career at House of fraser Manchester in 1991 and for the past 23 years has held a number of key management positions in the company.

In 2000 she launched House of fraser Bristol, with her first appointment as store manager not long after in south Wales.

As part of her extensive retail experience she has managed HOf stores in swindon and sutton Coldfield, which finally brought her back home to launch and manage Hof Belfast when Victoria square opened six years ago.

In April the management set-up at Victoria square was restructured after Mr Black quit as manager. M&C saatchi were brought in as the new marketing and communications team while centre owner Commerz Real switched its lettings and property management from savills to BTW shiells in Belfast and Cushman and Wakefield in london.
