New look for city hotel

BELFAST city centre budget hotel Premier Inn has been overhauled in a £360,000 refurbishment. The 148-bedroom hotel - the first Premier Inn in the city - opened on Alfred Street in 2007. Some £250,000 was spent upgrading all bedrooms with new carpets, mattresses and televisions as well as new bathroom flooring and tiling.

A further £110,000 was invested in upgrading the hotel's bar and restaurant.

Cluster general manager said: "Alfred Street was our first hotel in Belfast and I'm thrilled, just six years down the line to be unveiling this brand new look. We are committed to providing a quality guest experience and an investment of this scale in a relatively new hotel shows our commitment to continuing to raise our standards."
