FIRMS in Northern Ireland are spending too much on healthcare policies, it has been claimed.
According to broker Independent Healthcare Solutions (IHS), around 95 per cent of businesses are paying over the odds. It says the problem is made worse when companies allow their policies to automatically renew. Audrey Spence from the firm said: "With the pace and pressures of modern-day business, a lot of company bosses are happy to renew their healthcare policies automatically, more often than not because they feel they don't have the time to devote to shopping around. "This is a huge mistake as the savings that can be gained from examining the market can be very significant."
