Irish language community development group Glór na Móna is helping people start their day in the best way possible with a free breakfast.

Glór na Móna is giving out cups of tea and breakfast items on the last Friday of every month so leave the house extra early and with an empty stomach on February 24.

The Bricfeasta Pobail Saor agus Gaelach began last month and was a success according to Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh who hopes other groups will follow suit.

"We were met with resounding positivity and thanks from local people who engaged with us and enjoyed some tea, coffee and breakfast at the top of the rock," he said.

"We took this small step to provide a hot breakfast and beverage on a cold morning to anyone who wanted to avail of it."

The group will be handing out breakfast items between 7.45am and 9.15am "and welcome all help and support" on February 24.
