DID you get tickets for Limmy's Belfast debut yet? If not, don't bother trying: both the Glasgow comedian's original date on May 19 and the extra one 'added due to unprecedented demand' on May 20 sold out in under 45 minutes on Wednesday, probably while you were stuck in a meeting, panic-buying crap Christmas presents or shovelling lunch into your face.

The sold-out shows will be part of the tour for Limmy's second book of short stories, That's Your Lot, due out early next May.

Having promised fans here "a night of storytelling, chitchat, audience Q&A and a book signing at the end", the Limmy's Show star expressed his gratitude on Twitter:

"The second and final Belfast date has now SOLD OUT. Didnae come over before cos I didnae know if enough people would come. SO THANKS! XX"

He also elaborated on why he's been enjoying his book tours even more than his comedy dates.

"I'm really happy about these book tour dates selling out, the thing I prefer about a book tour to Limmy Live is I get to meet everyc***."

Let's hope the people lucky enough to be going don't let the side down so that he never wants to come back again – might be best to get tickets for his Dublin date at Vicar Street on May 18 (still available at time of writing) just in case.
