Amy Schumer to bring stand up show to Dublin

US comedian Amy Schumer will perform a live stand-up show in Dublin in August

THE last time she visited Ireland, comedian Amy Schumer enjoyed a sing-song at a Dublin pub and gate crashed a wedding.

And now the American star is coming back for more.

Schumer is to return to Ireland this summer, bringing her live stand-up show to Dublin's 3Arena on August 26.

Her upcoming European tour will also see her perform in London, Manchester and Edinburgh, as well as Amsterdam, Oslo and Stockholm.

Schumer, who is also an Emmy Award winning actress, made her television debut in 2007 when she starred on NBC's Last Comic Standing.

She also co-starred on 30 Rock and received her own Comedy Central Presents special.

Her other television credits include Louie, Girls and Curb Your Enthusiasm, but Schumer is best known for creating and starring in the award-winning TV comedy series Inside Amy Schumer.

She visited Dublin last August for the Irish premiere of her movie Trainwreck at The Savoy Cinema and during the visit enjoyed a sing-song at Grogans pub on Castle Street with film director Judd Apatow.

They were spotted singing The Aul Triangle with The Frames singer and Once star Glen Hassard and reportedly even managed to gate crash a wedding.

She told RTÉ during the visit that she was "in love in Dublin".

"I want to move here, no joke. This is the perfect, perfect place for me," she said.

Tickets for her upcoming show go on sale on June 8 at 9am from Ticketmaster and other usual outlets.
