WE WERE raving about his web series Horace & Pete a few weeks ago and now top US comedian Louis CK has announced an Irish stand-up show at Dublin's 3Arena.

The New York-based comic hit the road this week for a tour of the US and Europe that will see him delivering "all new material" live on stage.

"It's new jokes," he revealed in a fan mail-out.

"I think I'm better at comedy right now than I've been for a while and I'm going to dedicate the year to just doing great live shows.

"I'm very ready and excited to come to your town and tell this humor with my mouth."

Excitingly, Louis has also decided to take on ticket scalping sites (re-sold tickets will be invalid) and ticket fees (there aren't any) for his US dates – though sadly Ticketmaster.ie are still demanding their usual vague €6.10 "service charge" and even more made-up sounding €1 "facility charge" per ticket.

You have to laugh, eh?
