COMIC Robin Ince comes to Belfast for a show next week, as part of the Black Box venue’s 10th anniversary celebrations.

Ince (a Sony Gold award winner, three-times Chortle award winner and Time Out outstanding achievement award winner) is in town on Wednesday, for one of only five UK headline gigs he will be performing this year.

The English comic had stated in July 2015 that he was taking an indefinite break from live stand-up. His show, The Shambolic Curiosity of Robin Ince, will see him journey through the many things he has learned since his last trip to The Black Box (in 2014) and promises “a bundle of fascinating, surprising digressions”.

Ince will return to Ireland in November as `guest host' for the Professor Brian Cox Live shows at the Dublin Olympia and Waterfront in Belfast. Ince and Cox co-hosted the popular BBC Radio 4 show The Infinite Monkey Cage.

Robin Ince, Black Box Belfast, Wednesday May 11, 7.30pm. Tickets £10/£12 (www.blackboxbelfast.com).
