Contemporary dance company perform new show
CHOREOGRAPHER Eleesha Drennan and Belfast composer Colin Reid have come together to work on a new contemporary dance piece that will performed by Belfast dance company Maiden Voyage later this month.
Tipping Point is about the loss of control, how we deal with interruptions to our intended path and what it feels like to be on the cliff edge. It will be performed in the Ulster Museum as part of the 2015 European Heritage Open Days on September 13 at 12 midday and 1:30pm. It will kick off Culture Night Lisburn on Friday September 18 at 1:30pm at the Island Arts Centre before heading to Belfast's MAC for Culture Night Belfast at 6pm and 7pm that evening.
London-based Drennan, daughter of musician Willie Drennan, studied performing arts at Belfast Metropolitan College. Having been with National Dance Company Wales for 10 years, she is now a freelance dancer and choreographer. This week she was short-listed for the Matthew Bourne New Adventures Choreographer Award 2015/16.
