U2 announce second Belfast show after first gig sells out

U2 and Bono who will be performing in Belfast and Dublin this autumn

U2 have announced a second show at Belfast's SSE Arena after the original date scheduled for this October sold out shortly after tickets were made available this morning.

The first show, which takes place on October 27, sold out along with four more dates at Dublin's 3 Arena.

The second Belfast show is on October 28 with tickets going on sale next Friday, February 9 at 9am.

The Experience + Innocence Tour – not to be confused with will 2015's Innocence + Experience Tour – finds Bono and co back indoors following last year's al fresco Joshua Tree-centric stadium shows.

Based around their most recent LPs Songs of Experience and Songs of Innocence, the sequel to the well received 2015 tour will once again find the Irish superstars exploring cutting-edge technology in an all new arena-based show.

Expect multiple performance areas, a state-of-the-art sound system and a brand spanking new super high-res LED screen that's a whopping nine-times the resolution of the previous tour's model – just in case you weren't quite able to count every pore on Bono's fizzog last time around.
