STILL proclaiming themselves to be "America's greatest rock n' roll band" – an increasingly bold assertion for an act who haven't produced an essential tune in almost 20 years – Aerosmith have just announced European dates for what's being billed as their 'farewell' tour.
Steven Tyler and co's 'amusingly' named Aero-Vederci Baby! tour currently includes just one UK date, at the Download Festival, plus a lone Irish engagement at Dublin's 3Arena.
Thus, this could be the last chance to enjoy Aerosmith classics like Sweet Emotion, Dude (Looks Like A Lady), Love In An Elevator, Eat The Rich and Walk This Way (performed in its Run DMC-enhanced rap/rock incarnation, naturally), plus the tunes even your mum enjoys such as Cryin', Crazy and I Don't Want To Miss A Thing.
Is a 28th anniversary performance of Pump in its entirety instead too much to hope for at this point?
Probably.
