Just announced: Status Quo's The Last Night of The Electrics, October 28, Belfast

Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi are preparing to hang up their Telecasters

IT'S time to take a final plunge Down The Dustpipe as veteran rockers Status Quo treat fans to one last blast of heavily amplified boogie before going 'full Aquostic'.

If the band's tellingly titled Euro-centric tour The Last Night of The Electrics doesn't quite find Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt and co Rocking All Over The World, the Quo are at least treating Ireland to a final pair of decibel-laden dates at the SSE Arena in Belfast and Dublin's 3Arena.

What will they play? Whatever You Want – provided that's 'the hits' done in proper Piledriver style.

After 54 years in the business, Status Quo have certainly earned a victory lap. Whether it will really be the last time fans bear witness to Rossi and Parfitt's famous twin Tele attack remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: The Party Ain't Over Yet.

:: Tickets on sale from 9am today via SSE Arena Box Office on 028 9073 9074 and online at SSEarenabelfast.com.
