AUSSIE rockers Airbourne have been regular visitors to Belfast ever since they first came kicking and screaming out of the southern hemisphere with their debut LP Runnin' Wild back in 2007.

Their heady brew of catchy, riff-tastic rock is far from innovative, but it ticks all the right, rowdy boxes for fans of key influences like AC/DC, Def Leppard, Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest, Motorhead and Rose Tattoo.

While this makes the quartet's records an ideal soundtrack to a Friday night beer or 15, Airbourne are arguably best experienced live.

Happily, although the band – Joel O'Keeffe (vocals/guitar), Ryan O'Keeffe (drums), David Roads (guitar) and Justin Street (bass) – haven't released anything new since 2013's album Black Dog Barking, they will be back at us with more reliably hot, sweaty and headbanging live rock 'n' roll fun this summer.

Indeed, they've been busy writing their next LP in the wake of signing a new worldwide deal with Spinefarm Records, so fans might well get to hear a couple of brand new tunes in the mix alongside firmly established Airbourne favourites such as Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast, Diamond In The Rough, Runnin' Wild, No Way But the Hard Way and Live It Up.
