FABULOUS fuzz-loving 'grunge survivors' Mudhoney have announced a date at The Black Box (June 7).

In the six years since the Seattle-based quartet last passed through these parts, the veteran rockers have released yet another fine long playing record in the form of 2013's Vanishing Point and performed atop The Space Needle as part of their label Sub Pop's 25th anniversary celebrations.

The fact that this high altitude 2013 gig also marked the 33rd anniversary of Mudhoney frontman Mark Arm's high school senior prom, also held at this world-famous Seattle landmark, was just a very Mudhoney kind of coincidence.

Sweetening the deal to positively teeth-melting effect in Belfast will be opener Bob Log III, a one-man band who delivers foot-stomping, boob-scotching, inflatable raft-launching rock'n'blooz fun every time he dons his special helmet.

File under 'not to be missed'.
