FOY VANCE has become the second artist to be signed on Ed Sheeran's label, Gingerbread Man Records.

Making the announcement on Twitter, Sheeran described the Bangor singer-songwriter as one of his "all time favourite artists and inspirations."

Vance has said he is “ecstatic” at signing with “our Ed.”

"I feel a deep sense of peace signing to an artist led label, not least of all because the artist in question is our Ed. Every time I've turned around in the last few years he has had my back."

The pair have toured and work together in the past and have become close friends.

Sheeran covered Vance's song Make It Rain last year and also had lyrics from Vance’s song ‘Guiding Light’ tattooed on his arm in Irish.

In a statement on his website Ed Sheeran said that fans would be blown away by the vocal talents of his touring buddy.

“I am very happy to reveal Foy Vance as my second signing to Gingerbread Man Records. Foy’s always been an artist I’ve admired since meeting him in 2006,” he said.

“We've become touring buddies over the past few years and he's actually out in Australia with me at the moment on the final leg of my 'x' tour. His vocals are going to blow you away and I can't wait for you all to hear the record."

He also posted a video of Vance playing ‘She Burns’ to get fans excited about the upcoming album.
