ARMAGH hosts its biggest ever culture night on Friday September 18 with more than 100 free events featuring art, readings, workshops, tours, music, dance, drama, exhibitions and family fun takes place across the city.

Celebrations start early with the 10am Doh Ray Me music class for babies in The Market Place Theatre, while at 1pm there's a bilingual tour of Iron-Age Armagh led by CairdeTeo, departing from Armagh City Hotel.

Between 6pm and 11pm events over 30 venues include tours of the city's historic buildings; there'll be workshops in wood turning and graffiti and martial arts demonstrations; and music from performers including The New Rhythm Band, Cup O Joe, The Hanna Sisters, Armagh Rhymers, The Oriel Singers, Men’s Shed Choir and the Armagh Pipers.

There is an international flavour to the dance performances, which include Bulgarian, Lithuanian and Hungarian folk dance, Tennessee Twisters, Tassagh Scottish Dancers, Taylor Scallon Irish Dance, Armagh set dancers and Karma Indian Dance.
