An Afternoon with Sir Roger Moore, Saturday November 19, Grand Opera House, Belfast, 2.30pm

CURRENTLY celebrating his 71st year in showbusiness, the man who brought safari suit chic and raised eyebrow humour to the James Bond series – a lighter touch we're now lamenting in the wake of the four largely joyless Daniel Craig 007 films – will be visiting Belfast next month for a live chat with his biographer, Gareth Owen.

The audience can expect to hear some of the best behind-the-scenes stories from Sir Roger Moore's time as cinema's most famous spy, along with memories of his TV days as Simon Templar on 1960s hit The Saint and early 70s cult favourite The Persuaders!.

Having just celebrated his 89th birthday, Sir Rog is still as suave and sophisticated as ever – but refreshingly self-deprecating with it, and there could be no finer company for any film fan on a cold November afternoon.
