OVER 20 design-focussed events take place across Belfast on Saturday November 9 as part of this year’s Belfast Design Week.

Aimed at all ages, activities taking place as part of the Big Design Day Out includes workshops, tours, exhibition and more. Highlights include a pop-up museum and treasure trail, workshops with Makematic and Crayola, Let's Build a Cardboard City event, a clothes swap and even a design-focussed Belfast Supper Club.

Now in its fifth year, the 2019 festival's theme is 'power' and will showcase thriving creative and innovation sectors with a vibrant schedule filled with talks, workshops, fairs and much more.

New for Belfast Design Week in 2019 is the festival’s takeover of an iconic Belfast building that will become the festival hub. Butcher’s Building on Belfast’s North Street as a beautiful backdrop for a selection of the week’s events including Share 6, six short talks by creative industry speakers who have all stepped outside of the usual patterns in their specialist areas to come up with new and exciting ventures, Homegrown's celebration of local design, a new series of events with the Design Council and exciting career talks.
