SINGER Andrea Begley will be performing three special Irish shows this autumn, starting with a date at Lisburn Island Arts Centre on September 21.

The Voice UK 2013 champion will then perform at the Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskillen (October 4) and at Burnavon Theatre in Cookstown (October 18).

Originally from Pomeroy in Co Tyrone, Andrea Begley also enjoyed a top 10 album in 2013 and has released a number of singles since, most recently this year's Beyond The Rainbow's End. She recently toured with her auntie, Ireland's 'Queen of Country', Philomena Begley, and is currently an ambassador for the Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB).

Having been diagnosed with Glaucoma as a child, Begley is also an active RNIB NI committee member and a long term supporter of the charity's work.

"I'm absolutely delighted to be an ambassador for RNIB in Northern Ireland," she says.

"I've always had an interest and passion for issues around sight loss and I think there are still huge barriers and hurdles facing people with sight loss living in today's society.

"In recent times, I've got more involved with the RNIB NI Children and Families service team. Growing up as a young person with sight loss, I know first-hand the challenges and problems you can experience."
