THIS year's Moira Calling festival gets under way tomorrow, bringing two days of homegrown and visiting musical fun to Moira Demense. Tomorrow night, Ryan Vail & Arco String Quartet will kick-start proceedings with an exclusive collaboration, while Saturday's line-up features an eclectic selection of acts across two stages.

Joshua Burnside, Owen Denvir, Rews, Beauty Sleep, Hunkpapa, Jordan Adetunji, Vokxen, Runabay and Leeds-based Marsicians will all be playing the second day of the family-friendly festival this year.

Organiser Jillian Marsden said: "We are super excited with our line-up for 2018. It is an eclectic, diverse mix of artists and bands, which we feel has something for everyone."

Moira Calling is also pleased to announce their continued support for The Prince’s Trust at 2018's event: two of the artists in the line-up, Owen Denvir and Cheylene Murphy of Beauty Sleep, have been supported by The Prince’s Trust Enterprise programme, which helps young people aged 18 to 30 to turn big ideas into a business reality, offering training, mentoring support, funding and resources.

Two of the Prince's Trust's Get Started programmes, DJing and Make-Up, will also take part in the festival, with the DJs performing a warm-up set and the budding make-up artists offering festival make-overs to revellers.
