Essential festival... Stendhal Festival 2018

And So I Watch You From Afar are confirmed for Stendhal 2018

THE Stendhal Festival has just announced the first part of its musical programme for 2018. Taking place on August 10 and 11 at its regular location, Ballymully Cottage Farm in Limavady, this year's Stendhal will be headlined by anthemic indie rockers Embrace, who released their brand new LP Love Is A Basic Need earlier this month.

Local post-rock heroes And So I Watch You From Afar are also confirmed for the festival, as are The 4 of Us, Ryan McMullan, Derek Ryan and The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club, while DJ/producer Tom Middleton will headline the Celtronic stage.

"It's tough to keep trying to top our line-up each and every year but again I think we have accomplished it," says Stendhal Director Ross Parkhill.

"We are happy to not only be showcasing some household names but also continuing to support up and coming Northern Irish talent.

"There are still more acts to be announced so this line-up is only going to get even better and that's not to mention all the non-musical elements of the festival which we have in store for everyone this year."

Also on the Stendhal 2018 bill will be The Logues, Joshua Burnside, Waldorf & Cannon, Rosborough, Roe, The Wood Burning Savages, Le Boom, The Irish Video Game Orchestra, Hunkpapa, The Eskies, Ursula Burns, Tony Villiers & The Villains, Mean Mary, The Swingtime Starlets, The Ocelots, Electric Octopus, The Pox Men, Dream Awake, Runabay.
