Now on sale: The League of Gentlemen Live Again in Dublin & Belfast

The League of Gentlemen Live Again! will visit Ireland this summer

THE League of Gentlemen will return to the stage this summer for their first live tour in 12 years – including shows in Dublin and Belfast.

Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton, Mark Gatiss and Jeremy Dyson's all new show The League of Gentlemen Live Again! will visit Dublin's 3Arena on Friday August 17 and SSE Arena Belfast on Saturday August 18.

The stage show marks the group's return to the live format which gave rise to their hit BBC2 sitcom, which ran from 1999 until 2002 and returned to the screen last Christmas for a trio of special episodes.

"The League of Gentlemen started as a live show over 20 years ago and in many ways performing in front of an audience gives us the biggest thrill of all," said the group in a joint statement announcing the tour.

"We're overjoyed to be taking the citizens of Royston Vasey on a road-trip and can't wait to see all the wonderful local places in our increasingly local country. Plus, we'd already gone to the trouble of getting the costumes and learning the voices again for the TV show – so we thought 'why not?'

"Something to do isn't it?”

:: Tickets for Belfast are on sale now via SSE Arena box office on 028 9073 9074 and online at SSEarenabelfast.com. Dublin tickets available via Ticketmaster outlets.
