IRISH comedy legend Dylan Moran has just announced live dates in Belfast and Derry. The Co Meath comic will be embarking on his new Dr Cosmos tour this September, which finds him visiting an impressive 41 different venues throughout Britain and Ireland.

Deadpan funnyman Moran will begin with a trio of shows at the Norwich Playhouse from September 3 to 5 before wandering his way towards Belfast's Waterfront Hall on Thursday September 27 and The Millennium Forum in Derry on Friday September 28, his only confirmed Irish gigs of the year.

The Bafta-winning Black Books co-creator will be offering fans his "unique take on love, politics, misery and the everyday absurdities of life, all served with poetical panache from one of the finest comedians of his generation" (it says here) in a show which "promises to be an unmissable journey through his interpretations of the world, swerving cliche to offer a cutting blow to our idiosyncrasies."

Honestly, what more could you hope for on a rainy evening in Belfast and/or Derry?

Belfast tickets priced £25 are on sale now via Waterfront.co.uk, Derry tickets priced £26.50 are on sale today via Millenniumforum.co.uk
