ARE you a musically minded woman with a burning desire to help foster the next wave of Irish female rock talent?

If the answer is "hells yeah I am!", then Girls Rock School NI (GRSNI) want to hear from you: the Belfast-based not-for-profit outfit are currently gearing up for their first ever Rock Camp this April and need people to help out with the nitty-gritty.

"We need women-identified volunteers to help run the camp, move gear around, run workshops and carry out a number of other tasks," explains GRSNI co-ordinator Shannon O'Neill.

"Camps depend on the passion and hard work of committed volunteers. In order to run the camp, we need people to run workshops, teach electric guitar, bass, drums and vocals and also be band coaches for the bands, helping them to write a song and perform.

"If anyone is interested we would love them to get in touch by filling in the form at: https://goo.gl/forms/L3spmZiXPmTqlr6I2."

And, if you happen to have any spare musical equipment gathering dust in the cupboard or under the bed, so much the better.

"We also need instrument donations, particularly bass guitars, electric guitars, snare drums and snare stands," adds Shannon.

Applications for GRSNI campers will open once the Rock Camp team is in place.
