SET to kick off their latest tour in Ireland next month, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have announced further details of their forthcoming new album.

The San Francisco-based psychedelic scuzzers are currently putting the finishing touches to Wrong Creatures. Their eighth LP, the follow-up to 2013's Specter At The Feast, is not due for release until January 12 next year.

However, earlier this week, BRMC (Peter Hayes on vocals/guitar, Robert Levon Been on bass/vocals and drummer Leah Shapiro) released the first teaser track from the new record: Little Thing Gone Wild is a swampy bass-led and harmonica-smeared stomper that, aside from being practically guaranteed to get crowds moving on the upcoming tour – which begins with a sold-out engagement at Dublin's Academy on October 23 – also has the distinction of providing the inspiration for the upcoming LP's title with the line: "Lord, you hear me loud into my soul speaker, why won't you let me out, you've got the wrong creature."

Like, yeah, man.

Pre-sales for Wrong Creatures are now up and running, with the album available as a standard CD and as part of a deluxe version which comes with a custom BRMC harmonica made by Hohner.

Meanwhile tickets for the second date of the tour at The Limelight in Belfast on October 24 are still available.
