FORMER Stereolab woman Laetitia Sadier is back with a new 'groop' – an 'ensemble', in fact – who released their debut album Find You Finding Me at the end of last month.

The Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble, which also features long-time Sadier collaborators Emmanuel Mario and Xavi Munoz among its ranks, bring their eclectic, electronically augmented and extremely laid back politico-lounge sound to Belfast tonight as part of the Belfast Film Festival.

I'm not exactly sure what sort of movie would use a breezy plinky plonky pop tune like recent single Undying Love For Humanity, Sadier's woozy duet with Hot Chip man Alexis Taylor, Love Captive, or Galactic Emergence's whimsical flute-tinged lament on its soundtrack – a surreal sci-fi rom-com, perhaps – but I'd surely like to watch it.

Experience these and other LSSE selections live tonight at The Black Box, where they can become the soundtrack to a night of communal frugging and frolics.
