1. When did you think about music as a career and what were your first steps into it?

I can't remember a time when I didn't sing and my ultimate dream was to work in music. I also loved to dance and moved to London when I was 16 to study performing arts. A few months after leaving college I was auditioning for West End shows when I was handed a flyer for a girl band – that band went on to become the Spice Girls.

2. Best gigs you've been to?

George Michael's Symphonia show at the Royal Opera House in London was incredible. I'm also a huge Blur fan and have seen them play many times, my favourites being at the Astoria in London in 1997, The Mayan Theatre in LA in 1999 and at the Isle of Wight festival in 2015.

3. Fantasy wedding/birthday party band?

Queen. I've been lucky enough work with both Brian May and Roger Taylor, but never had the chance to see them play live when Freddie was alive, so if we're talking fantasy that would have to be top of my list.

4. The record you'd take to a desert island?

Songs in the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder.

5. And the book?

Maybe I should be practical and see if a manual to surviving on a desert island exists.

6. Top three films?

ET, my favourite childhood movie, Richard Linklater's Everybody Wants Some left me with a warm glow and I recently watched Trolls with my daughter and loved it.

7. Worst film you've seen?

I'm not in to action movies or comic-book stuff.

8. Favourite authors?

Most of my reading is to my little girl. We're both loving David Walliams books at the moment. We also love Harriet Whitehorn's Violet books.

9. Sport you most enjoy and top team?

I was born into a family of Liverpool supporters. I love being fit and I discovered triathlon in 2011. I did three last year.

10. Ideal holiday destination?

Los Angeles. I just love the healthy outdoor lifestyle and positive attitude out there. It feels like anything is possible.

11. Pet hate?

Litterbugs drive me mad.

12. What's your favourite:

Dinner? Steak and chips.

Dessert? Pavlova.

Drink? A good mojito.

13. Who is your best friend and how do you know each other?

I have so many great friends from different areas of my life – growing up, college, work life – I couldn't pick one.

14. Is there a God?

I do believe there is something bigger than us and so much we don't understand.
