Chat show king Michael Parkinson set for Belfast stage this May
TELEVISION chat show veteran Sir Michael Parkinson will be talking about his 50-year career in a special stage show in Belfast's Grand Opera House this May.
An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson celebrates the life and work of a man who over five decades has interviewed more than 2,000 people, among them many of the key cultural figures of the 20th and 21st centuries including George Best, Muhammad Ali and John Wayne.
In conversation with his son Mike it will feature highlights from the archive of TV show Parkinson – which aired from 1971 to 1982 and from 1998 to 2007.
An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson will take an intimate and entertaining look at 'Parky's' life story and relive the best moments from a programme that for many defined their Saturday night.
"This show is a reminder that for a time I had the best job in the world. It's a funny, informative and insightful show that gives the audience a ringside seat for my favourite and most memorable interviews," Sir Michael said.
