CANADIAN indie rock darlings Arcade Fire will return to Ireland this summer for two shows, including their first concert north of the border as part of the Belsonic Festival.

The Win Butler-led band's last full tour was in 2014, following the release of their Reflektor album, and they have only played live a handful of times since.

However, Arcade Fire are now showing more signs of life: they kicked off 2017 with the release of 'surprise single' I Give You Power featuring Mavis Staples (all proceeds from the song went to the ACLU) and the upcoming Irish dates are part of a series of summer festival appearances and select arena gigs which kick off at Primavera Sound in Barcelona on June 3.

In fact, the Malahide Castle show on June 14 is rather special – it's one of just four 'stand-alone' concerts along with gigs in Cologne (June 16), Berlin (July 2) and Manchester (July 6).
