Voodoo's Fifth Birthday Bash, tonight, Voodoo, Belfast
CAN it really be five years already since Copperfield's was reborn as Voodoo, possibly Belfast's best rock, punk and alternative music-friendly independent bar?
Apparently so, because the Fountain Street saloon and live venue is having a special fifth birthday bash this evening to celebrate.
Expect the complimentary champagne to flow like tonic wine, accompanied by an appropriately eclectic ear-bashing soundtrack supplied by The Hallions – a for-one-night-only house band / supergroup of sorts featuring familiar faces from the local music scene – and regular Voodoo DJ crews Sunglasses After Dark, Strange Victory and Mature Cheddar.
Entry is free across both floors and irresponsible dancing is encouraged: here's to another five years of "good beer, nice people and great music" on Fountain Street, with many more to follow.
:: Champagne reception commences at 9pm.
