OK, SO their first new song in 21 years, All For One, was a bit 'meh', reports from the most recent gigs in Manchester and New York suggest Ian Brown's voice may be back to its erratic best and tickets start at the wrong side of £40 – but are you really going to miss The Stone Roses' first proper indoor Irish gig in 27 years?

The seminal group have announced they will play Belfast's SSE Arena next June, the first of three summer 2017 shows also including dates at Glasgow's Hampden Park and Wembley Stadium.

Will we have a new album to evaluate by then? Perhaps: It's already been confirmed that the Roses have been recording recently and their other newie released over the summer, the lightly psychedelic seven-minute baggy groover Beautiful Thing, wasn't so bad.

Let's hope they've even better still to come – and if you want to hear it done live along with your old favourites, you'd best get a ticket bought this morning.

:: Tickets priced from £49 go on sale at 9.30am today via SSEArenaBelfast.com and Ticketmaster outlets.
