ROCK gods Black Sabbath will kick off their last ever live dates with a show in Dublin next year.

The veteran trio have selected the 3Arena for the beginning of The End tour, which finds them calling time on Sabbath's 48-year-long concert career with a short run of gigs culminating in two massive hometown dates at Birmingham's Genting Arena.

Founding members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler (original drummer Bill Ward remains estranged from his former comrades) have confirmed that they will be selling a new CD, The End, on the tour: a new compilation featuring four unreleased songs recorded for 2013's comeback LP 13, plus a selection of live tracks.

However, don't expect to hear too many newies at these shows: Sabbath say they will mostly be concentrating on old Ozzy-era favourites for their victory lap, which offers fans one last chance to worship their pioneering riffage in the flesh.
