REGINALD D Hunter returns to Ireland this summer with his brand new stand-up show The Aluminum Negro.

The well-loved (but occasionally rejected) US-born comedian will take audiences in Derry (Millennium forum, June 9), Dublin (Vicar St, June 11) and Belfast (Mandela Hall, June 12) on a romp through today's politically correct racial minefield while attempting to shield them from any truths they would much rather avoid.

Along with his frequent live appearances, Hunter is a well-known face on top TV panel shows including 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, QI and Have I Got News For You.

Following a hugely successful year touring the world, the comic returned to his birthplace last year to film an epic road trip from North Carolina to New Orleans through 150 years of American popular song for the critically acclaimed BBC2 series Reginald D Hunter's Songs Of The South.

:: Tickets priced £20 (€28 for Dublin) are on sale now through Ticketmaster outlets.
