Catch a Christmas classic: Die Hard at QFT Belfast

Bruce Willis in unconventional Christmas classic, Die Hard

SOMEHOW, Christmas just doesn't feel like Christmas until you've watched a barefoot Bruce Willis blowing up a skyscraper full of Eurotrash with a lethal combination of gunplay and pithy one-liners.

Happily, this year you can ignore inconvenient TV scheduling and leave your trusty DVD on the shelf as QFT Belfast will be showing Die Hard on the big screen this weekend.

Also starring Alan Rickman as one of cinema's all-time greatest baddies, Hans Gruber, a sharp suited "exceptional thief" masquerading as a terrorist, John McTiernan's 1988 action extravaganza / unconventional seasonal classic is possibly one of the most rewatchable films ever made.

Even those who can quote every line verbatim will currently be getting excited about re-visiting John McClane's first, hellish Christmas Eve as the wrong man in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Yippie-ki-yay, Father Christmas.
