KATY Perry releases her Christmas song Every Day Is A Holiday later this month. Before you go thinking it will be all Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas or that Katy is channelling her inner Pogues, forget it – Everyday Is A Holiday is a club track produced by Duke Dumont.

There is a resounding commercial aspect to the release, of course, as the track will be used as the music backdrop for KP's H&M winter clothing campaign now that the star has signed a lucrative sponsorship deal with the high street fashion chain.

H&M have signed up Beckham for the boys and Katy for the girls.

ADELE DOMINATION

IT'S rumoured that there may be just one particular member of the human race living in a lofty tree house somewhere on the remotest island in an imaginary ocean somewhere 10,000 light years beyond Mars that hasn't actually streamed or heard the new Adele song Hello yet.

These reports are of course unconfirmed and we are monitoring the story carefully.

JUSTIN TIME

JUSTIN Bieber follows up the annoying catchy What Do You Mean with another credible crossover track. I'll Show You is the latest song to be aired from Bieber's new album Purpose which is officially released next week.

The production on I'll Show You is super slick and is chock full of spine-tingling electronic blips and beeps that manage to make an otherwise slow and ponderous song flash past in the blink of an eye – something which of course is very much down to the fact that Skrillex took on the producer role on this one.

The album boasts the further production talents of Diplo, Benny Blanco and even Ed Sheeran who also duets with Bieber on a track called Love Yourself.

Purpose sounds like the perfect pop album for 2015 and will hit number one all over the world, underlining the rehabilitation of JB the pop star.

IN FROM THE COLD

BY THE time you read this the release of a new Coldplay album may well have been announced. It looks like December 4 might be the date that the new record, possibly titled Head Full Of Dreams, will be available to purchase.

If so it will be a pretty quick turnaround for Chris Martin and the band since the last album Ghost Stories was only released in May of last year. It has of course been rumoured for some time now that album number seven might in fact be the band's final release.
