Cypher Sessions International Breakdancing Championships, Saturday October 3, T13, Belfast.

COMPETITORS from all over Europe will converge on Belfast's T13 skatepark tomorrow to do breakdance-based battle in a bid to be crowned world champion.

Now in its fifth year, Cypher Sessions is organised by Belfast breakdancer and businessman Paul Ashford.

"Cypher Sessions already a massive following and attracts competitors from all over Europe," he says of the event, which offers a top prize of £1,000.

"I am part of this culture and my ultimate aim is to promote and nurture it. Cypher Sessions is undoubtedly one of Ireland's most unique events and attracts hundreds of spectators."

As well as hosting the world championship competition, youth groups, dance groups, families and local artists will also get the opportunity to try breakdancing, MC-ing, graffiti and music and video production through this day-long exhibition of hip-hop culture.

Dance circles, rhyme circles, DJing and video projections will be running all day on a free-of-charge basis between 12pm and 4pm in the lead up to the European Championships.

From 5pm onwards, the main Cypher Sessions event will kick off with an entry fee of £10 for adults and ££5 for under 16s (under 4s go free).
