THE excellent US Cold War spy series returns to our screens next week on ITV Encore, available to Sky and NOW TV viewers.
The third series of the early-1980s set show finds Russian spies posing as all-American couple Philip (Mathew Rhys) and Elizabeth (Keri Russell) Jennings growing increasingly concerned about teenage daughter Paige (Holly Taylor) being identified as a potential spy-in-waiting by new KGB handler, Gabriel (Frank Langella).
Elizabeth also narrowly avoids capture after securing a list of CIA operatives in Afghanistan, while Philip's pair of American 'assets' Annalise (Gillian Alexy) and Martha (Alison Wright) are growing dangerously bold in very different ways.
As for the Jennings's FBI agent neighbour, Stan (Noah Emmerich), he's still smarting from losing both his wife and Soviet spy lover.
However, despite being tried for treason in Russia, it's unlikely we've seen the end of the lovely Nina (Annet Mahendru) just yet.
A welcome return for a series that just keeps getting better.
