Marc Maron, Thursday September 3 & Friday September 4, Southbank Centre, London

TICKETS went on sale today for cult US stand-up Marc Maron's only live dates outside his homeland this year.

That's right folks, if you want to be regaled by this top-rated podcaster (recent interviewees on WTFpod.com include Mick and Keith from the Stones, Vince Gilligan and some guy called Barack Obama) and newly installed host of ViceTV's interview show Vice Portraits, you'll have to get yourself to the Queen Elizabeth Hall at London's Southbank Centre on September 3 and/or 4.

This two-night stand marks the Euro debut for Marc's hit Maronation tour, on which the Albuquerque-born recovering addict, ex-husband and comic continues his attempts at 'figuring stuff out' in front of an audience each night.

Fresh from a fairly insane shooting schedule for the third series of his excellent semi-autobiographical sitcom Maron (seasons one and two are available on Amazon Instant Video now), this guy should be eager to share a whirlwind of thoughts feelings and fears that have built up over the past few months which have seen his profile rising to unprecedented levels.

That's just what happens when the president decides he fancies dropping by for a little one-on-one chitty-chat in your garage/podcasting lair – people suddenly get interested.

Better late than never.
