Thursday Q&A: Tucker's tiramisu and The Godfather

1. When did you think about performing as a career and what were your first steps into it?

I’ve been doing it seriously from the age of 15, but performing was in my blood from whenever I can remember. Going to Saturday drama classes at the Golden Thread, singing with my dad at the weekends, and being a part of the Arts Youth Theatre under Peter Quigley.

2. Best gig or gigs you've been to?

Liza Minnelli, Elbow, The Rolling Stones.

3. Fantasy wedding/birthday party band of choice?

The Rolling Stones as house band with Bette Midler, Sammy Davis Jr and Michael Jackson.

4. The record you'd take to a desert island?

Michael Jackson – This Is It.

5. And the book?

The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

6. Top three films?

The Godfather, Mrs Doubtfire, The Wizard of Oz.

7. Favourite authors?

George Orwell, Cormac McCarthy, Philip Larkin.

8. Sports you most enjoy and top teams?

Tennis (Andy Murray), athletics and women’s football.

9. Ideal holiday destination?

Italy.

10. What's your favourite:

Dinner? Chinese: King prawn with black bean sauce.

Dessert? Tiramisu.

Drink? Gin and tonic.

11. Who is your best friend and how do you know each other?

I've got three in no order: Samuel (started off in Arts Youth as kids), Stevie (did The Full Monty together) and Dan (did Tonight's The Night).

12. Is there a God?

If it helps you get through life.
